about

I build things for the internet.

By day, I’m a NOC Engineer at Speakup, where I keep SIP infrastructure and IP networks running that handle millions of phone calls every month. By night (and weekends, and lunch breaks), I run Bouwhuis IT, helping small businesses in Twente with managed IT, cloud hosting, and infrastructure.

I’m also building MailShield, an email security monitoring platform that tracks all eight critical email protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, BIMI, DNSSEC, and DANE) from a single dashboard. And I run esimopreis.nl, selling affordable travel eSIMs for Dutch travelers.

I operate my own Autonomous System (AS202585) with BGP peering at Dutch internet exchanges, because running your own internet infrastructure seemed like a reasonable hobby. I serve on the board of NLNOG, the Dutch Network Operators Group, and I’m a member of Coloclue.

When I’m not staring at terminals, I ride my Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ through Europe and plan trips to places with wide roads and big skies.

Based in the Greater Enschede Area.
